This is my go-to winter pack for brand new piano students. If you’re working with pre-readers or kids in their very first weeks of lessons, these worksheets focus on the absolute basics: finding black key groups, naming white keys, and understanding steps and skips. They’re simple, clear, and intentionally not overwhelming.
I love using these in January and February when students need something fresh but still very approachable. They’re easy to print, easy to explain, and great for independent work during lessons or as a quick take-home assignment.

This pack is one of my favorites for making rhythm feel a little less abstract and a lot more fun. These winter worksheets focus on note and rest values, plus simple “music math” equations that get students really thinking about how rhythms add up.
I love pulling these out when students are learning (or forgetting 😅) the difference between quarter, half, dotted half, and whole notes and rests. They work great as an in-lesson activity, quick review, or independent assignment during the winter months.
